Happy Holidays!

On Friday, December 21 we drove to West Jordan to spend the night with Greg's family. It was nice to visit. The next morning we opened a few gifts and ate a fabulous breakfast. Then we were on our way to Horseshoe Bend.

In Idaho Emily had a fun time playing with her cousin Delaney. They are only 2 months apart. They are future BYU roommates, just like their moms!

On Christmas Eve we lit all of the candles and read Luke 2. Looks like Greg and Derek were having a little too much fun...

This is how my family 'acts out' the nativity. I got to be the angels. In photo: Cassidy, Derek, Whitney, and Adam.

After reading Luke 2, my dad read Twas the Night Before Christmas. I think we all have it memorized.

Our little family Christmas 2012! I think I would have used this picture if I would have sent out Christmas cards. Sorry, it's my New Year's Resolution...

Christmas morning: Grandma Flake with her two favorites. Unfortunately we had to leave for Vegas right after we opened gifts. It was fun while it lasted though.

When we got back to Vegas, we had to pack up our apartment to move to a two bedroom apartment. Pretty big deal for us. When we first moved to Vegas we ended up moving everything in ourselves, so this time we decided to do things different. We contacted neighbors and friends to come help us out. This picture is what showed up (minus me and four more adults). We had everything moved in under an hour. Gotta love Vegas.

While going through boxes I found these treasures. These are class pictures from my five years of teaching. What memories!

On Sunday, December 30 my brother Justin and his family had a layover in Vegas. Although we only got a short visit with them, it was definitely a highlight.

Justin got to meet Emily for the first time. So precious!

On New Year's Eve Greg made an awesome dinner, we went out to Cold Stone (thanks Aubry and Jesse), and cuddled up while watching a chick flick. That's my kind of New Year's!

Emily was in such a good mood that night that we decided to take some pictures. I love my baby girl!

Cute daddy daughter picture. This crazy girl stayed up until 11:15 on New Year's Eve. She almost made it to midnight...I think I'm glad she didn't...

Delightful December

Is Emily a Daddy's girl?

She looks pretty happy. Maybe she is...

One of Emily's favorite things to do is look at our Christmas tree. She is pretty cute.

On Saturday, December 1 we met up with Joel and Melanie for some yummy food at the Olive Garden. Emily was the star of the show.

On Sunday, December 2, our stake put on a huge celebration for Christmas. They even presented a live Nativity. Here is Greg and Emily with one of the wisemen.

Two of the youth in your ward were angels, so I insisted on getting my picture taken with them. Pretty cool that they both got baptized this year!

On Tuesday, December 18 we frosted sugar cookies. As you can see, it is pretty intense!!

A Thanksgiving Baby

Emily is 6 months old now and STILL cute!

She is really good at sucking her fingers when she sleeps.

Wouldn't she make the cutest baby model?

Emily already loves music... which Greg is really happy about.

Alright, I'll stop talking about my baby and get to Thanksgiving now. This year we stayed home for Thanksgiving because Greg had to work on Friday. We had: rolls, breaded chicken (instead of turkey), potatoes, gravy, corn, stuffing, and pumpkin pie for dessert! Yum!

Our little family at Thanksgiving

After we were stuffed to the max, we got out our Christmas decorations and got to work. I couldn't resist putting Santa's hat on Emily. She makes a pretty cute elf.

After putting up our Christmas decor, we decided to go look at Christmas lights. We went to the Cactus Gardens here in Vegas. It was so fun. I think Emily enjoyed it the most.

Here's proof that she loved the lights!

Mother and daughter

After Greg got off work on Friday, we drove to West Jordan, Utah for the weekend. We got to hang out with Greg's family. Here is Emily playing with her cousin, Joel. Don't they look like brother and sister?

Greg's family was nice enough to have Thanksgiving dinner again on Saturday. Good times, good company and good food!

Halloween Week

Emily was so excited for Halloween.

She made a really cute ballerina. Everyone wanted to hold her. I mean, who wouldn't want to hold a ballerina princess?

She loved all the attention she got from her dad because of her awesome costume.

I don't think I have ever seen a cuter baby.

She loved watching everyone at the Ward Halloween Party.

Emily is so patriotic, she came voting with us. We voted at the mall. As you can see, our mall isn't really the happenin' place.
