East Coast Reunion

For my 31st birthday Greg bought me a plane ticket to go see my three sisters who live out east. On Thursday, June 11 I flew with Leslie from Las Vegas to Cleveland. Considering we flew for four hours, without any stops, I'd say she did pretty good.

When we arrived, my sister Heather picked us up. All of her five kids were in the car as well and treated me like a celebrity. It was pretty fun evening.

The next morning I went on a 2 mile walk with Heather by her house. It was a beautiful day in Ohio and SO GREEN! I'm not used to that...

Heather is so lucky to live in the country.

Sisters! Heather is three years older than me. It was fun to have some quality time together.

This is what Leslie looked like at the beginning of our walk.

After a 2 mile walk Leslie looked like this.

Later that morning we went to Lake Milton to go swimming. It's about 20 minutes from Heather's house. The weather was perfect and all the kids were so happy.

My precious Leslie.

She's almost 5 months old!

Here is Leslie being cute with Paul.

Here I am with my three sisters (from oldest to youngest) at the lake: Sarah, Heather, Bethany, and me...I have 3 MORE sisters too! I'm so lucky!

Right when we left the lake, it started to rain. Of course I had to take a picture. It only rains in Vegas like three times a year!

That evening we went on a sisters date to an Amish Valley Farmers Market for dinner and then went clothes shopping at Gabe's. We know how to have a good time.

These two cuties came along with us: Lesie and Juliet (Heather's baby).

On Saturday we ran a Color Run. Don't I look happy?

The crew before the race: Heather, me, Bethany, Sarah, Merrody, and Joel.

After the race...we look so awesome!

Sisters!

Some things never change...

After the race we showered and then went to the White House Fruit Farm. We hung out by the lake for a while and fed the catfish. I know you can't really see any in this picture, but I tried.

Heather with her favorite niece.

Danny (Bethany's son) and Leslie being cute.

Cousins for life: Leslie, Danny, and Juliet.

Later that day we hung out in Heather's backyard. The kids played and played while the adults visited.

That night we had a delicious barbecue. Heather and Austin know how to put on a good party!

On Sunday we went to church and then the reunion was over. In this picture we're about to say a prayer. Thanks everyone for the great time and most of all thanks to Greg for being so thoughtful and letting me come.

Our 2 Girls

Since it got so hot last week we decided to play in the sprinklers. Turns out Emily has really good aim...

 And so does Greg.

Emily LOVES helping make meals and desserts, now I know why!

I couldn't pass up an opportunity to take a picture like this. They were both dead asleep!

Here we are with my cousin's wife Brooke and their baby Avery. Leslie and Avery are 2 weeks apart. We're convinced they'll be roommates at BYU. P.S. We all match and we didn't even plan it!

My little cutie pie.

 Emily loves giving Leslie hugs.

I love my two girls!

May Madness

Little Leslie is 4 months old now and is quite the smiler. She brings a lot of joy to our house.

This is often how I find these two. I hope they are always this good of friends.

This is a horrible picture of us, but this was the only one we got when we saw 'The Piano Guys'. If you look closely you can see the lit up piano and cello behind us. It was such a great show! Happy 5 years of marriage to us!

On May 15 I turned 31. Greg had a priesthood over nighter that he had to go to, so a couple of my friends threw a party for me. I couldn't stop laughing when I saw the cake since they were trying to be so clever, but the apostrophe is in the wrong spot...

My running friends: Kim and Eden on my 31st birthday.

We celebrated my birthday as a family on the 16th. Greg made me cookie cake and it was delicious. Then he surprised me with a plane ticket to visit my sisters out east. I still get teary eyed thinking about it.

Emily turned 3 just two days after my birthday. She insisted on a pink cake, tater tots, and stuffed hotdogs. It was actually pretty good!

She doesn't quite know how to blow out candles yet, so she spit all over the cake...but it was cute!

Maybe we got her too many presents...

On Memorial Day we thought it would be fun to do a hike as a family. I know what you're all thinking... where is there to hike in Las Vegas?? Well, we have two options: Mt. Charleston or Red Rock Canyon.

This time we decided to go to Mt. Charleston, about 45 minutes away. We hiked up to Echo/Little Falls. The girls were so good even though it was a little chilly.

It was Leslie's first hike.

Greg carried Emily like this for some of the hike.

Me and my cuties.

When we got to the "waterfall" we laughed. No wonder it's called Little Falls. It doesn't look like a fall to me...

No caption necessary

It only made sense to take a selfie.

So it didn't quite turn out like we thought it would, but it was so fun to hike together as a family. We'll have to do it again soon.

Payson Temple Open House

Greg made these awesome swords which provided hours of fun while we were in Utah. They are made out of PVC pipes and swim noodles.

My two cute girls in their Minnie Mouse outfits. They're 2 years and 8 months apart.

Here are the beautiful tulips right infront of the Payson Temple. That cute girl is Emily.

 My three favorites

 So beautiful

 Leslie's first road trip.

We visited family while we were there. Here is Greg with our kids and my sister Ashley's kids.

Leslie was really good and really cute on the trip.

Emily and her cousin Joel. Thanks for the parties!
