It's FINALLY Fall!!

On Friday, September 23, we took our kids to the Botanical Gardens here in Boise.

It wasn't cold (at all), but Emily insisted on wearing her gloves...

 Where's Greg?!?!

"It's Cinderella's castle, mom!" -Emily

It was so fun to walk around the gardens without anyone else...we were the ONLY ones there!

It was the perfect Friday evening activity!

Of course, the activity couldn't be complete without a selfie...

On Saturday, September 24, we went to the Anderson's Apple Orchard in Emmett, Idaho.

The girls took apple picking very seriously...

It turned out to be such nice weather and the perfect fall family activity.

The workers told us to not leave the orchard hungry, so we didn't!

It looks like we have a new family tradition!

On Thursday, September 29, we met up with Dad, Mom, Melanie, Emery, Savannah, and Caroline for a day at the Boise Zoo.

Dad took advantage of following the doctor's orders and stayed off of his foot. Leslie loved riding in the wheelchair with him!

Labor Day in Montana

We spent Labor Day weekend up in Kalispell, Montana to see my brother Justin and his family. My sister Bethany and her family came up for the weekend as well, making it even more fun! On Saturday morning Justin made us all some amazing french toast.

Later that morning Justin took the adults to see his work and some of Kalispell. It sure is a beautiful place!!

Before we headed back home, we stopped by the lodge where we'll have the Flake family reunion next year. Only 10 more months!

For lunch Greg made everyone pizza. Aren't we such a great "helpers"??

After lunch we headed to Whitefish Beach. Although it was pretty cold and windy, most of us went kayaking and some were even brave enough to go swimming!

Justin texted me this picture when Greg and I went on a little drive. In the text he said, "Replaced!" Very funny...

Able, Charlie, and Leslie playing in Wombat's kennel. It really is the perfect size for them.

On Saturday night we had a triple date and went to Tamarack Brewing Company for dinner. The food was so good and the company was even better!

On Sunday after church we drove up to Logan's Pass in Glacier National Park. It was 37 degrees and very foggy.

Emily, Miles, Kelsey, and Able.

We had a fun nature walk in the woods. Here are some of the cousins.

We had a picnic dinner that evening.

Here we are at St. Mary Falls. We loved all of the waterfalls, rivers, mountains, and trees. You can't really get bored of it. Thanks for giving me bunny ears, Eden...j/k.

That evening we had a Lego contest put on by Jude. Kelsey, Bethany, and I got to be the judges. With such amazing entries, it was tough to find a winner.

On Monday morning we had a delicious doughnut breakfast.

Cutest picture ever: Abby and Able. Happy Labor Day!

Cute Kids

Wednesday, August 31 was Emily's first day of Preschool in Boise. She had been talking about it all summer long, so it was an exciting day. We even bought her some new outfits. She's growing up!

On Thursday, September 1, my good friend Marissa and her family stopped by on their way to McCall, Idaho for a reunion. Marissa and I were roommates, co-workers, ran the St. George Marathon together, and I was one of her bridesmaids...we have a lot of history. It was SO FUN to see her, Ted, and their three little girls!

Friends for life!

On Friday mornings we babysit these two boys. The kids have fun together!

Emily is so creative. Here she is as Pocahontas.

 Leslie LOVES bananas!

Is this a glimpse into my future?!?
