March Fun!

The last couple of months Emily has really blossomed in her reading abilities. It is so fun to see her reading to her sisters. Leslie told me that she likes it better when Emily reads to her than when I do!

Abby and Emily being cute.

Leslie and Abby playing nicely while Emily was at school.

March was a month of sickness. Here is poor Emily during her sickness. No fun!

Emily's cool little art project...she made it all by herself!

The weekend of March 10th we headed down to Utah to see family. Here are Dad and Mom Burr with all of their grandkids (missing Vanessa).

We also got to see some of my siblings, including my sister Cassidy and her new baby, Ruby! They are so cute!

The following week I attended a really fun Enrichment activity with a Mad Hatter theme and very delicious goodies.

I was asked to be one of the speakers and they were a great audience!

For St. Patrick's Day we made some delicious cupcakes! We like to have our sweets around here.

This week has been Spring Break. On Monday we went up to Tamarack and hung out with my brother Joel's family.

Emily and her cousin Caroline spent hours in the hot tub. It was a fun time!

The Last Month

It has been so wonderful to live close to my parents for the last year and a half. On January 15 they started their second mission as senior missionaries. They are serving in the St. George Temple visitors' center and really loving it so far. We all really miss them, but we're glad we got to spend some good quality time with them before they left.

On January 19 our little Leslie turned 3 years old. I took the girls over to the Lakeshore Learning store to do a free craft. This time they made a melted snowman...the birthday girl LOVED it!

Little Leslie on her 3rd birthday!

Leslie and her gifts...including her new favorite toy Polly Penguin. Thanks to that toy, a princess potty training book, and lots of candy, Leslie is officially potty trained!!

Leslie insisted on having chocolate cake with pink rainbow chip frosting (just like we had at Emily's birthday last year). She really loves her big sister!

Leslie with her cute Leslie doll from Grandma Burr.

February 9th marked 100 days of Kindergarten for Emily and as she said it was "the very best day of school ever!" The balloons say: 100 days FLEW by!

When Greg worked at Brick Oven in Provo I LOVED their Valentine's Day sugar cookies...and now it is a tradition to make them every year at our house. We take cookie decorating very seriously...

Emily and Leslie ready to take some cookies to our neighbors. We made sure to save some for ourselves too!

My 3 little valentines: Emily, Abby, and Leslie. Greg is a little camera shy...

We even bought a heart shaped pizza for dinner. The girls thought that was pretty cool, especially since it looks like a broken heart or something. Our kids don't like pepperoni so...

When Emily comes home at lunch time, we love to do crafts. I bought the girls smelly markers and those were very popular and MESSY!!

We also made little characters on popsicle sticks. The girls played with them for days!

Our awesome snow globes. They ended up so cute, I had to hang them up!

The girls also like to make a lot of noise on the piano. At least they are having fun!

This winter has been interesting with not a ton of snow or cold days. We've done a lot of bike rides and trips to the park. The girls don't seem to mind!

Emily loves pretending the playground is her castle. We play the same game every time we go. I make a really good Mother Gothel.

There's never a dull moment with these three. We sure love our girls!

Happy Holidays!

Well, Christmas break officially ends today and then it's back to real life. We have had a great Christmas season. On the 11th we went over to Joel and Melanie's to decorate gingerbread houses.

The next day I took the girls to see Santa at the library by our house. He read stories and gave everyone a candy cane. The girls each wrote him a letter. Emily's letter was too cute NOT to share.

Leslie with Santa (much better than last year when she freaked out).

Emily with Santa

The girls with Santa...he is a very patient man.

It was a fun time!

The following day Emily had a Winter Concert at school.

Her class sang 'We are Santa's Elves' and recited a Christmas poem. There she is in the front row.

Here is Emily with her good friends Greta and Piper.

The weekend of the 15th we went down to West Jordan to visit the Burrs. Here I am with Malerie being awesome.

The Burr women: me, Malerie, Aubry, Rachel, Erica, and Mom Burr.

Dad and Mom Burr with the grandkids. Now there are 9!!

Emily and Leslie loved the cardboard dollhouse they got from Blake and Rachel.

The elementary school Emily goes to is a STEM school (Science Technology Engineering Math), so for December all of the Kindergartners made gingerbread houses. Emily was very proud of hers!

On the 19th my brother Derek and his family came to visit from Arkansas. It was so great to see them!

On Saturday, the 23rd we made Christmas goodies and took them around to people in the neighborhood. Here is the cute sugar cookie Emily made.

Christmas Eve 2017: Emily, Leslie, and Abby.

Leslie's cute Mrs. Claus dress.

Christmas Eve was so much fun with Dad and Mom here. We will miss them so much when they go on their mission.

Our kids watching 'It's a Wonderful Life' on Christmas Eve. They really liked it!

On New Year's Eve we went over to Aunt Carolee's for Dad and Mom's open house. It was so fun to see everyone!

Greg even played his violin. It was a great night. Happy New Year!
