Spring is Here!

Little Emily is only 10 months old and already wants a car. . .

On Friday, March 1 we went on an early anniversary date. Mom Burr was nice enough to watch Emily while we went. We forked out the big bucks to go see Bill Cosby live. You might say that we're pretty big fans of 'The Cosby Show'. It was a fun date and Bill Cosby did not disappoint.

While Mom Burr was here we spent some time in the park. I think Emily is already a fan of playing on the playground.

She is such a daddy's girl.

It's so nice that Mom Burr flies for free and can visit us. We love spending time with her!

This is a picture of my two little invalids. Both Greg and Emily have been sick twice this month. Don't they still look cute even when they're sick?

On Friday, March 15 my cousin Kristen drove through Vegas with her family and stayed with us for the night. Her daughter Kaylee is the same age as Emily. Pretty cute babies.

They left early on Saturday morning which is why I am still in my pj's in the photo. We had such a great time visiting.

Our little crawler on St. Patrick's Day!

We are now in the middle of Spring Break. Last weekend we drove up to Utah to hang out with family and some friends. Emily got to see two of her cousins: Delaney and Cheyenne. My mom bought them the cute matching outfits. Such adorable girls.

It was great to spend some time with my sisters Cassidy and Ashley. I am so blessed to have such awesome sisters.

We made sure to visit one of Greg's best friends from high school while in Utah. Greg and Seth are already making wedding plans for the two babies...

We also visited Greg's family up in West Jordan, Utah. His sister, Malerie, is going on a mission in two weeks. We came and visited her at work. This picture just makes me hungry.

The three Burr grandkids: Meric, Joel, and Emily.

Won't You Be My Valentine?

Yesterday Emily turned 9 months old. She is growing up right before my eyes. She can crawl and pull herself up. She is even getting two teeth. We sure love our precious Emily.

Sometimes she likes to fall asleep in her bouncer.

On February 11 we went to my cousin's house for a Valentine's Day get together. I made some red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. So good!

On Valentine's Day I made Greg's favorite raspberry muffins with some fabulous white grape raspberry juice.

Greg got a really cute white bear for free from work. It has become Emily's favorite toy. Just look at that face. Aw!

Will you be my Valentine?

Happy Emily

This Valentine's Day we decided we didn't want to go out or cook. So what did we do? We bought some Panda Express and ate it at home. It was really good and I got to share it with my favorite person.

Greg is a hard worker. After 8 hours of work and 2 hours of school, he got home just in time for dinner. I am so blessed to be married to him. Every year I love my Valentine more.

It's kind of nice that Greg delivers for a floral supplies company. You might say he knows some people and got an awesome deal on these flowers. If my bouquet of flowers gets bigger every year, I can only imagine what next year's will look like!

This picture is proof that Emily likes to pull hair. Watch out!

Emily wasn't too happy when I was taping this movie, so you might want to turn your sound off while watching this.

The Latest

On Saturday, January 5, Greg's parents came down to visit. We had a really nice time. We took them to the Bellagio to see some beautiful Christmas decorations and of course to see the fountain show.

They LOVED the pictures made out of flowers.

Grandpa and Grandma Burr happened to be in town the same weekend. So we all got together for dinner and then played some fun games. Emily really likes Grandpa Burr, maybe it has something to do with who she is named after...

We loved showing our cute baby off, especially since we don't get a ton of visitors (hint, hint).

We were so sad their visit was short and they all had to leave us. In photo: Greg, Haley, Emily, Grandma Burr, and Grandpa Burr.

Sometimes when Emily wakes up from her nap she looks like this! Do you still think she's cute?

On Saturday, January 19, we went to the Las Vegas Zoo. It is a small zoo with very few animals. I'm glad there is a fence between us and the cougar in this picture because he is looking right at Emily with glowing eyes!

We pretty much had the zoo to ourselves...

Except for the peacocks! It was a good time though.

Since I know the only reason you even look at this blog is to see our cute baby, I will post a few more pictures of her.

Little Emily is 8 months old now and is starting to crawl. She has never been cuter AND she is SO fast!

She loves to look at books. In fact her favorite day of the week is Monday because we go to Story Time at the library.

Do you think she looks more like me or Greg? I think she kind of looks like me in this picture.

She's a really nice baby and we're so happy we have her. Don't you wish you could hold her? Well, if you came and visited us you could!

Happy Holidays!

On Friday, December 21 we drove to West Jordan to spend the night with Greg's family. It was nice to visit. The next morning we opened a few gifts and ate a fabulous breakfast. Then we were on our way to Horseshoe Bend.

In Idaho Emily had a fun time playing with her cousin Delaney. They are only 2 months apart. They are future BYU roommates, just like their moms!

On Christmas Eve we lit all of the candles and read Luke 2. Looks like Greg and Derek were having a little too much fun...

This is how my family 'acts out' the nativity. I got to be the angels. In photo: Cassidy, Derek, Whitney, and Adam.

After reading Luke 2, my dad read Twas the Night Before Christmas. I think we all have it memorized.

 The happy couple

Our little family Christmas 2012! I think I would have used this picture if I would have sent out Christmas cards. Sorry, it's my New Year's Resolution...

Christmas morning: Grandma Flake with her two favorites. Unfortunately we had to leave for Vegas right after we opened gifts. It was fun while it lasted though.

When we got back to Vegas, we had to pack up our apartment to move to a two bedroom apartment. Pretty big deal for us. When we first moved to Vegas we ended up moving everything in ourselves, so this time we decided to do things different. We contacted neighbors and friends to come help us out. This picture is what showed up (minus me and four more adults). We had everything moved in under an hour. Gotta love Vegas.

While going through boxes I found these treasures. These are class pictures from my five years of teaching. What memories!

On Sunday, December 30 my brother Justin and his family had a layover in Vegas. Although we only got a short visit with them, it was definitely a highlight.

Justin got to meet Emily for the first time. So precious!

On New Year's Eve Greg made an awesome dinner, we went out to Cold Stone (thanks Aubry and Jesse), and cuddled up while watching a chick flick. That's my kind of New Year's!

Emily was in such a good mood that night that we decided to take some pictures. I love my baby girl!

Cute daddy daughter picture. This crazy girl stayed up until 11:15 on New Year's Eve. She almost made it to midnight...I think I'm glad she didn't...
