Oh Baby!

Well, I'm sure if you're reading this you have already heard the news. We are expecting a baby!

We found out we were pregnant on May 22 (which just happens to be Greg's brother's birthday). Since he was getting married on the 27th anyway, we decided to share the news with the whole Burr family at the wedding.

So we wrapped these items and told Eric (Greg's brother) that we had a late birthday present/early wedding gift for him. He opened it and was very confused. A few moments later, everyone was screaming and so excited for us.

Since my parents are currently serving a mission in Panama, we decided it would be the least obvious to tell them we were expecting if we waited until Father's Day. So we arranged to skype with them and made Emily a cute little shirt.

We weren't skyping with them long before we had Emily show them her "new shirt". We were all crying (I'm allowed to because I'm pregnant).

Since all of my siblings live far away, when we finished chatting with my parents, we e-mailed them this picture of Emily. It was fun to receive e-mails, texts, and phone calls congratulating us.

Although Emily may not look excited, she actually is.

Which brings us up to date. Being the worrisome and paranoid person that I am, I insisted on us waiting to tell the rest of the world until we were done with the first trimester and had seen the doctor.

Today we are 13 weeks along and just met with the doctor. Well little baby, see you in January!

Hotter than Hades

Although it is consistently in the 100's down here, we still seem to be having fun this summer. Especially with such a cute 2 year-old!

She has the cutest facial expressions.

On Saturday, May 31, we met up with my cousin Nathan and his family at the M&M Factory. They moved to Arizona a few months ago, so now they live just two hours away from us.

It was fun to catch up and best of all...we were surrounded by M&Ms!

I am no doubt his favorite cousin. Now that we have that established...

Greg has been working really hard on our backyard. When we moved here the yard was dead with absolutely no grass. Greg got our grass growing and now look at how luscious it is. We all love it and are so proud of him. FYI: B.O. stands for Brick Oven.

Here is Emily being cute.

Here is Emily "helping" Greg make cinnamon rolls.

Funny story, one night Greg started Emily's bath and told her he would be right back with some toys for her to play with in tub. Well, while he was gone he heard a splash...she had jumped in with her clothes on! Ha ha!

For the 4th of July weekend we had been planing on going to St. George to visit family. The day before we were going to leave our a/c went out in our car. We were pretty discouraged, but determined to go, so we rented a car for $10/day and drove the two hours.

Emily loved seeing her great grandparents and her Burr cousins. She was one happy girl.

Best of all, they just got a pool so we spent a ton of time swimming. You may be wondering why me and Greg are wearing shirts... well, the day before we both got really bad sunburns so we really didn't want it to happen again.

Here we are with Aubry (Greg's sister) and little Meric.

Me and my favorite girl.

Greg being cool, as always. Happy 4th of July!

Memorial Day Weekend

We went up to Utah last weekend to see my brother Dillon who I hadn't seen in 2.5 years and attend Eric's wedding. It was a great trip. Oh yeah, this picture is just proof that Greg actually IS gansta...

Emily and Cheyenne LOVED playing together. They sure are cute girls!

The cuties

We had a great time hanging out with Dillon and the Dilsavers all weekend. We ate yummy food and had some great talks. We even fit in some 'Ticket to Ride', which is now Dillon's favorite game, right Dillon? Ashley isn't in the picture because she's the one taking it!

On Tuesday, May 27 we all drove to the Salt Lake Temple for Eric's wedding. Emily couldn't stop looking at Angel Moroni...as you can see in this picture with Grandpa Burr.

Here is Emily and Joel playing on the temple grounds truck before the wedding. They are already living on the edge.

Emily was really cute all day...

Later that night at the reception... they got a picture with the grandkids. Now we all know what kind of parents they'll be!

It was a great weekend.

Thanks for the memories!

The Big Week

We had some fun visitors over Mother's Day weekend. Jesse, Aubry, Joel, and Meric all came to see us. We had a blast! This picture was taken by our favorite custard place 'Luv it'...and we do!

This picture is proof that I am obviously the favorite aunt. We were so sad when they had to go home.

On Thursday I turned the big 3-0. Greg got me some flowers for Mother's Day/My birthday. Aren't they beautiful?

I had a GREAT birthday full of yummy food, gifts, phone calls, balloons (thanks Ashley), and flowers. Turns out being 30 isn't so bad.

My last gift was a special birthday cake. Every time we go to Dairy Queen I tell Greg how yummy the ice cream cakes look. Well, I got an ice cream birthday cake this year. Strawberry cheesecake ice cream birthday cake-- it did not disappoint!

On Saturday, May 17 Greg graduated from UNLV with a Master's in Music Theory and Composition. Quite the accomplishment! We were so happy his parents were able to come and support. It was a special day for us.

UNLV Graduation Day---May 17, 2014

Me and my favorite graduate!

That evening we celebrated Emily's 2nd birthday. She was so cute opening all of her presents.

She got a lot of great stuff. She just played and played all evening. I think her favorite toy was the dollhouse (that was given to us from someone in our ward). She played with it for hours!

Here she is in the cute dress and shoes from Grandma Burr. She calls them her "princess shoes".

Here she is with her birthday cake. Yeah, I know I smudged the "E" on her name. Better luck next year I guess.

She was terrified to blow out the candle, so Greg helped. She LOVED eating the cake though.

On Monday, May 19 we got together with some friends for the Dances' going away party. They're off to Rexburg. We sure will miss them. They have been good friends to us here.

I thought I would end the post with this cute picture of Emily. She loves to get into my jewelry and throw it all over the house, but honestly, how can I be mad at that face?
