A Winter to Remember

The month of February turned out to be the most snow that Victor has seen in years. Lots of school cancellations and road closures. I think we ended up with 4 feet of snow. I slid on the ice, got stuck, and even did a 360 on the highway. It was definitely a winter to remember.

Here is snow falling infront of our church building.

It's okay the winters are so harsh because we get to live in such a beautiful place. I took this picture in the Targhee National Forest.

A typical day in the Burr family toy room...

These girls sure love their brother...

and their dad!!

Being silly on a Friday night!

Our little Abby...she is almost 3!

She's so righteous!

On March 10 my parents gave their homecoming talks at church. They served at the Temple Visitors' Center in St. George.

It was fun to drive up to Horseshoe Bend, Idaho to see them.

The girls played and played for hours!

They loved reading books with grandma!

It was a great weekend!

Here is Emily with her friend at the high school musical: "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers".

Hanging out at Sherman Park in Victor, Idaho!! Yes, we play at the park when there is snow on the ground!!

Come visit!!

Coal Creek and Caleb

On Monday, February 18, we took our kids on a fun family outing to Coal Creek.

Snowmageddon

For the last month Emily has enjoyed doing winter sports at school. It is part of the curriculum that her school does on Wednesday afternoons in January. Emily signed up to do ice skating and LOVED it! Go Victor Elementary Bears!

Every year Driggs has a snow sculpture competition in front of their community center. We got there a few days after it happened, but there were some pretty impressive ones.

The girls loved walking around and looking at all of them. Pretty fun!

When it snows, it pours!

Me, Emily, and Leslie playing in the snow in our backyard.

The beautiful Snake River Mountains (and Greg) seen from our backyard.

After months of driving in the snow, last week I finally got stuck in the snow. It was bad enough I had to get pulled out. Fun times! I'm in the red van. :-)

Snowmageddon is what we like to call it around here!

When the kids aren't playing in the snow, we manage to arrange some playdates. Here they are with their buddy, Eli.

They also spend a lot of time coloring pictures.

We are also regulars at our local library.

Always happy at the library!

Tired Abby

On February 1 Emily lost her first tooth. It was a very exciting day! She's growing up!

Emily had to write a book about hummingbirds in her 1st grade class. This is her "About the Author" page. I thought it was cute!

On Valentine's Day this year we had heart shaped pancakes for breakfast.

Best breakfast ever!

M&M's in the shape of a heart on our brownies for dinner...the kids thought that was really cool!

Happy Valentine's Day!
