September Ends

These four kids bring us so much joy!

On September 21st, our little Caleb turned 2!

He got his favorite chocolate cake with rainbow chip frosting for his birthday.

It has been so fun to have him in our family.

He loves his Dad!

Caleb tried so hard to blow out the candles.

Yay! He did it!

On Tuesday Leslie started going to school in-person two days a week. To say she was excited would be an understatement!

Gotta love those lazy Saturday mornings!

Yesterday we took our kids to the Anderson Apple Ranch in Emmett, Idaho.

One of our favorite traditions is apple picking in the fall.

The kids love eating the apples right off of the tree.

That apple is almost as big as his head!

One happy girl!

After the apple orchard, we went over to my aunt's house for a barbecue. She has 8 puppies!!

Emily (and Greg) loved the puppies!

Aunt Dana has lots of fun dress up clothes too!

Caleb always finds the rocking horses wherever we go!

Rocking horse buddies!

We finally got to attend church today! Have a great week everyone!

Life as We Know It

At the end of August we went on a trip with my parents to Atlanta, Idaho. It's about 3 hours from Boise. Next summer we are having a reunion there at the Lazy H Ranch. My grandparents lived at that ranch back in the 40s, so it is special to us. The drive was a bit bumpy, but it sure is a beautiful place!

In addition to Atlanta having the hottest hot spring I've ever been in, nearby there is this pond that is the perfect temperature to swim in. It was magical swimming in this pond surrounded by beauty. Our kids loved it!

Our cute little girls and my hottie.

We've been doing online school for 3.5 weeks now. The Covid cases are starting to go down here, so next week Leslie gets to go to school in-person 2 days a week. Emily gets to go two weeks after Leslie. They are so excited to go back to school in-person, and so am I!

We spend a lot of time at the park when the girls aren't doing school. This boy LOVES horses!

We also make weekly vists to see my parents in Middleton.

Going to their pool has been one of the highlights of this summer!

One afternoon Uncle Forrest and Aunt Jolynne stopped by for a quick visit. Uncle Forrest was trying to be funny and scared the kids instead. That's why I'm laughing so hard!

A couple weeks ago we took our kids to a trampoline park called Fly High. Not only did they get some awesome socks, but they also had a really great time!

They loved the ball house.

A boy with some balls.

Last weekend we got to watch my sister-in-law Melanie run the Boston Marathon virtually.

We all came to watch her cross the finish line...that was conveniently placed in her drive way!

This was Melanie's 15th marathon! Quite an accomplishment! It was so fun to support her and it was so inspiring to watch! Glad we could be there and take part in it.

End of Summer and New School Year

The kids had a fun summer, even given the circumstances of 2020. Lots of time spent at the park, splash pads, riding bikes, and jumping on the trampoline.

This kid keeps me on my toes, but we sure love having our little boy who is almost 2!

I'm so glad they have each other!

These will be days looked back on with fondness.

I love this kid!

Is it obvious his only playmates are girls??

One of his new favorite spots is our window sill in the kitchen. At least he's cute!

Monday, August 17 was Emily and Leslie's first day of school!

Emily is in 3rd grade at Koelsch Elementary.

Leslie is in Kindergarten at Koelsch Elementary.

The Covid cases are really high here, so even though we signed them up for in-person class, the first 3 weeks (at least) will be online.

We're all in this together!

Emily's first day of online school! She was so happy to finally start!

Leslie's first day of online school! She was so excited to get an I-pad!

Lets be honest, Abby is pretty much doing Kindergarten too!

On Saturday we took our kids to the Boise Zoo. They LOVED it!
