May Birthdays

On May 15th I turned 37! The numbers 3 and 7 have always been my lucky numbers, so I'm hoping for many great things this year. Greg spoiled me and made me chicken cordon bleu for dinner.

I also got some really awesome gifts for my birthday.

I was a little worried about having a lame birthday cake because I am sworn off desserts this year, but Greg made me a sugar free pudding pie with strawberries. It was definitely a crowd pleaser! So delicious!

Emily turned 9 on May 17th. I can't believe she'll be in 4th grade next school year. She hardly even asked for any toys...mostly books and things to make crafts.

Usually our kids ask for chocolate cake for their birthdays, but Emily wanted angel food cake this year...just like her dad!

Every birthday is the best birthday ever to Emily. She is a fun girl!

She did it! Now we don't have anymore birthdays until September!

Spring Time

On April 29th we got our second shot for the Pfizer vaccine.

It feels so good to be fully vaccinated!

The kids loved playing with this homemade rice table from the library. It entertained them for hours and was a huge mess to clean up!

Greg's pancakes are definitely a favorite around here!

I wanted to get a picture with Emily since we had matching dresses...but everyone ended up being in the picture!

Last Saturday we took our family to Birds of Prey.

It was kind of cold and a little bit windy, but we still had fun!

Our four sweet kids: Caleb, Abby, Emily, and Leslie.

The birds were so beautiful up close.

We even saw a bald eagle! That was really cool!

This bird kept squawking while the lady was talking. It was pretty funny.

"Mom, take a picture!"

I'm so grateful Abby got to go to Preschool. She really loved her teacher and her class.

It was a great Mother's Day this year. The kids and Greg were very good to me. I am blessed.

One of my friends gave us their old Barbie dreamhouse. These girls LOVE it! It feels like Christmas around here!

Birthday Season

Spring is a busy season at our house. We have lots of birthdays, our anniversary, and of course Mother's Day! On April 15th we celebrated Greg's 37th birthday.

He got lots of great presents!

He is now the proud owner of a tenor recorder!

On Sunday we had a combined birthday dinner for Greg and Abby. We invited Dad and Mom and Joel's family to come.

Caleb insisted on blowing out a candle too!

Cute little Abby turned 5 on April 19th.

So excited to open presents!

One happy girl.

Officially 5!

There's never a dull moment with this girl around!

Last Friday we went to Caroline's soccer game. The kids had fun! Here is Abby with her cousin, Natalie.

Two little friends: Caleb and Abby.

He wanted to wear a headband like his sisters...

I got my hair cut last week. I wanted it cut to my shoulders, but the lady cut it to my chin! Don't I look so mature?!?

Last Saturday Greg and I went on a date walking along the Boise River. It was the perfect spring day!

I was cutting an old credit card the other day, when I cut my thumb along with it. There was blood everywhere and I had to go to Urgent Care. Turns out I'm going to live!

A few days ago we went to the Boise Zoo with Abby's Preschool class. It was pretty fun!

A little boy in his happy place.

Leslie, Abby, and Caleb

Caleb talked about going to the zoo to see the zebras for weeks. Finally it came true!

And like he said many times, "I go to the zoo and see two zebras. Mommy hold me!"

Hanging out with the penguins.

Giraffes are such cool animals!

I kept telling them to look at me for the picture and this was the best that I could get from them!

We loved watching this monkey play with the blades of grass.

Hanging out at Planet Kid on a rainy day. Gotta love the spring time!

Our Anniversary and Easter 2021

On April 2 Greg and I celebrated our 11th anniversary!

At lunch time I was surprised to find these beautiful flowers on our doorstep.

We ordered some food from Zupa's for dinner and ate at home. Then Greg had this fun date planned where we painted on canvas!

After 11 years, we still like each other a lot!

The next morning we had a great time dyeing Easter eggs.

The kids loved looking for eggs in the afternoon.

On Easter Sunday we had a delicious dinner at my parents' house in Middleton.

On Monday Abby had picture day at school. She turns 5 in FIVE days!

Leslie and Caleb wanted to be in the picture too!

Doesn't he look like a model?

On April 9, Greg and I got our first shot for the Pfizer vaccine. We went to the Boise Airport to get it and didn't even have to get out of our car. Pretty awesome!

Our tree climber, Emily.

Enjoying the beautiful spring day in Boise.
