Christmas Letter 2024

 Dearest Family and Friends,

As we have reflected on this year, we are humbled by all of the wonderful things we have been blessed with. It has been a great year and we have so much to be thankful for.

Greg (40)- Greg has now worked at Enterprise Rent-A-Car for seven years. He works as a Revenue Manager at the corporate office. He is at the office twice a week and then works from home three days a week. It has been a huge blessing for our family to have him around more. Greg currently serves as the Primary Chorister in our ward and has really enjoyed it. We went on some fun trips this year including: Arkansas for Memorial Day, West Virginia in June, Utah in July and Texas for Thanksgiving.

Haley (40)- We have lived in Missouri for two years now and love discovering fun things to do here. This year I went to my first Cardinals baseball game, saw MJ: The Musical, experienced the Balloon Glow, went to Nauvoo and saw the Total Solar Eclipse! We love living in this beautiful state and that we only live a mere 25 minutes from the temple. In March I was able to go to Texas City for my sister's Art Show. It was a neat experience and I was so grateful I was able to support her.

Emily (12)- Emily is in 7th grade. This year she had a goal to attend the temple twice a month and she was able to achieve that goal! She loved going to Girls Camp over the summer and being part of the youth program here. This year she really progressed in her sewing skills and was able to sew her first dress. Emily ran on the Cross Country team this year and played soccer. She also decided to join the school band, even though she plays the violin!

Leslie (9)- Leslie is in 4th grade. She learned how to play the recorder this year and has really developed a love for playing the piano. She likes to do art and had some of it displayed at the School Art Show a few months ago. In the spring she played soccer and really enjoyed it. In the summer she swam a lot in our neighborhood pool. She is a good student and a great helper. We are happy to have her in our family.

Abby (8)- Abby is in 3rd grade. In April she was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We were so proud of her to make that decision. She also played soccer this year and swam a lot in our neighborhood pool. Abby loves to explore and find cool things. We were able to go to several creeks this summer where she was able to find more rocks to add to her collection. She is a fun girl who loves to laugh and be goofy.

Caleb (6)- Caleb is in Kindergarten this year. Over the summer he attended Summer School for a few weeks to help him get ready for the fall. I'm glad he did it because he has had such a good experience in Kindergarten so far. He especially loves riding the bus because he gets to sit by Abby on the ride home. Caleb's favorite things are swimming, riding his bike and climbing trees. Thankfully we were able to make it to lots of parks this year where he was able to do those things.

Hannah (2)- Hannah has learned and grown so much this year. It is so fun to be at home with her every day. We are able to make weekly visits to the library for story time, have play dates, go to the Early Childhood Center every month and visit lots of parks with swings (her favorite). It was especially fun to take her to the zoo, the Botanical Gardens, the Chocolate Factory, the Butterfly House and Lone Elk Park. Her smile and sweet little voice brighten my day.

We are thankful for our Savior, Jesus Christ and this time of year to reflect on His birth. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas!

Love,

Greg, Haley, Emily, Leslie, Abby, Caleb and Hannah Burr
