Leslie's First Birthday

Emily and Rebecca (a girl from our ward) at play group. They were so cute all dressed in scarves and hats, I had to take to a picture! P.S. It's currently 60 degrees outside.

Leslie turned 1-year-old on the 19th. She was such a happy girl on her birthday. I don't think she cried even once. For breakfast we had raspberry muffins.

She loved opening all of her gifts.

Emily and Greg helped her out.

Ha ha! I love her face in this picture!

"Reading" the book from Aunt Rachel.

 The rainbow chip birthday cake!!

Eating cake for the first time.

Happy birthday, Leslie! I can't believe you're already a year old!

Our temple has been closed since New Year's, so we decided to take a little trip to the temple yesterday. It was a beautiful day and Emily was in heaven.

Look at how green the grass is! Sorry some of you have so much snow. Maybe you should come visit. Leslie is asleep in this picture...guess she isn't very religious!

Christmas Break

We spent Christmas up in Horseshoe Bend, Idaho with my parents and sister Cassidy. There was so much snow. It was really magical. Emily made her first snowman.

Christmas Day was fun filled with playing with new toys, talking, playing games, and of course lots of eating!

Leslie loved laying in the toys!

Our family on Christmas Eve 2015.

 Leslie, 11 months old.

Emily checking out her cousins' awesome Christmas toys.

On Christmas Day we went over to my brother Joel's place. Things eventually developed into a dance party. Here are Melanie and Cassidy dancing to Cotton Eyed Joe.

Somehow I got roped into dancing a slow song with Joel. The picture is so blurry because of our amazing dance moves...j/k.

On Sunday, December 27 we got to hang out with the Derek Flakes. My mom made swiss steak. So delicious!

Emily with Derek and Clara's son, Thomas.

Leslie with my dad (and wearing Emily's boots).

 Our girls with my parents.

On Monday, December 28, Greg went skiing with my brother Joel and his son Wesley. They had a great time. After living in Vegas for a few years and it being in the single digits in Idaho, Greg was FREEZING!!

 Greg and Wesley

On Tuesday, the 29th we drove 10.5 hours back to Vegas. The girls were so excited to play with all of their toys in their room.

For New Year's we made a quick trip up to St. George. We met up with Dillon and Emily at Coldstone. They were in town for their one year anniversary. Emily is due one month before me and is also having a girl. Pretty cute pregnant lady!

Us with the Dillon Flakes (Greg is taking the picture).

We stayed the night at Aunt Nicole's. Uncle Kyle has this huge bear that they call Bubba.

The girls LOVED it! Happy 2016!!

December in Vegas

On Monday, December 7, we picked Greg up from work and went to see the Christmas lights at the Ethel M. Chocolate Factory. Behind the factory is a huge cactus garden that they decorate with lights. It has become a fun family tradition of ours.

It was this dark at 5pm.

Leslie's first time seeing Christmas lights.

They even gave us each a chocolate at the end! It was a success!

The following week we took our girls to the Winter Fest in Henderson. Here is Emily on the carousel.

Emily still talks about the horse she rode there named Oreo. Even though it was cold, it was pretty fun!

Greg's parents flew in on the 20th to celebrate Christmas with us a little early.

They bought our girls these cut outfits.

They also made Christmas goodies with us. It was so fun and we were so glad they came to see us.

This is what our Christmas plates looked like this year. Merry Christmas!
