Christmas Letter 2017

Dearest Family and Friends,

As we have reflected on this year, we are humbled by all of the wonderful things we have been blessed with. It has been a great year for us and we have so much to be thankful for.

Greg- At the beginning of this year Greg's dad had a heart attack and was rushed to the hospital. He had a tear in his aorta and we were all worried for the outcome. We spent a lot of weekends in Utah being with family and are so grateful for his miraculous recovery. In November Greg got a new job working at Enterprise Rent-A-Car and has really enjoyed it so far. He continues to run Gemtek Homekeeping in the evenings. He loves composing and arranging music in his spare time and also has a new found interest in astronomy (after witnessing the total solar eclipse in August).

Haley- I continue to run our household with our three little girls. They are a lot of work, but bring us so much joy. I also continue to work at VIPKID teaching ESL online to children in China in the early mornings. We have had a wonderful time this year attending my sister Cassidy's wedding, going to family reunions, seeing fun shows, going to the new Meridian Temple, and enjoying all of the fun outside things that Boise has to offer!

Emily- Last May Emily graduated from Preschool. This fall she started Kindergarten and really enjoys it. I love that she only goes to school until lunch so that she can play with her sisters the rest of the day. Emily loves to dance, paint, draw, and make up stories. She is so creative and girly. We love having her in our family.

Leslie- Leslie is a sweet girl with a smile that brightens everyone's day. In October she had her first visit to Urgent Care when she ran full speed into the corner of our toy chest. The cut was just deep enough that she needed to see the doctor. After the doctor put glue and a patch on it, she was good to go! Leslie loves Nursery and playing with her sisters.

Abigail- Abby will be 20 months old next week. She is a very playful girl, but also loves to cuddle. She adores her sisters and loves carrying around her little baby doll. She started going to Nursery a couple of months ago. She learned to walk this year and has started to say words. She has been a great addition to our family.

We are grateful for our Savior, Jesus Christ and this time of year to reflect on His birth. We wish you all a very merry Christmas!

With Love,

The Burrs
Greg, Haley, Emily, Leslie, and Abby

Thanksgiving Time!

My good friend Allison took our family pictures about a month ago. She took them right in our backyard and they turned out great!

Emily, 5 years old

Leslie, 2 years old

Abby, 18 months old

Sunday, November 12 was Emily's Primary Program at church. She did a great job!

They sure love their dad!

Leslie is my special little friend in the mornings while Emily is at school and Abby is napping.

Abby loves to get into the tupperware drawer. She only doesn't wear pants when Greg changes her diaper. ;-)

Our Thanksgiving turkey

We spent Thanksgiving in Bountiful, Utah with my sister Bethany's family.

These girls sit very close to each other in our Cube. Most of the time, they are really good girls in the car all the way to Utah.

Me and Ruby (Dillon's daughter). I think she likes me!

Abby did NOT like sharing a swing!

Time to eat!!

The dishes were done in no time at all!

It was so fun to spend Thanksgiving with three of my siblings: Bethany, Cassidy, and Dillon!

Back in Boise...I bought these girls some cute outfits and wanted to take their picture, but one of them was not very happy about it.

Decorating for Christmas!

We took our family to see the Christmas lights in downtown Caldwell. It was the perfect way to start off the Christmas season.

Merry Christmas!

Fall Festivities

It is so fun to have three little girls. Emily loves playing school with Leslie. I used to do that when I was a kid, although it turns out Emily is a very strict teacher.

Cute little Abby always wants to be part of the fun!

One of the things our girls love about Halloween is making sugar cookies and taking them around to people. This year we made some yummy ones!

Leslie kept putting on Greg's glasses and had the cutest smile, so I HAD to take a picture!

Here is Emily teaching Leslie how to paint. Surprisingly, they didn't make a huge mess!

Little Abby started going to Nursery last month. She's growing up so fast!

On October 21, Leslie ran full speed into the corner of the toy chest. The cut was deep enough that we had to take her to the doctor.

There was a lot of blood, but the doctor put glue on it and a patch. It seems to be healing nicely.

It has been a beautiful fall in Boise. Our girls loved playing in the leaves.

On Monday, October 23 we went to the Meridian Temple open house. It was very beautiful inside and out!

The next day we took our kids to the Farmstead Pumpkin Patch. The Corn Cob Beach was definitely a favorite!

Emily and Leslie in the Cow Train.

Abby LOVED the animals. It was really cute!

The Corn Maze!!

We found the perfect pumpkin. It was a success!

That weekend we drove to Utah. The grandkids were very entertained with grandpa's drone!

At the pumpkin patch with cousins and Grandpa and Grandma Burr.

The girls were very good in the car on the way home. I guess we've done enough rode trips, they are pretty used to it!

Our jack-o-lanterns!!!

Our girls in their Halloween shirts!

I was a Gemtek cleaner for Halloween.

Emily was Elena of Avalor, Leslie was Sophia the First, and Abby was Belle. We sure love our little princesses! Happy Halloween!!
