From Vegas to Boise

When we finally made the decision to move to Boise, we had 2.5 weeks to move and I was 35 weeks pregnant. It wasn't an easy task, but somehow everything fell into place and one of the biggest blessings for me was how good our two girls were during it all. Here they are playing in boxes while I was frantically packing up our life.

We lived in Vegas for 4.5 years and were so blessed to live about 30 minutes away from my cousins Adam, Jordan, and Troy. Here is a picture from our last visit with them. These babies were all born within a month of each other. Leslie is the oldest, then Avery (Troy's) is 2 weeks younger, and Savannah (Jordan's) is two weeks younger. Cute babies!

The Vegas temple was one of our favorite places. We loved the beautiful grounds and the feelings we always had while we were there. It will always be a special temple to us.

We made some great friends in our ward. I made great friends with the other young moms in the ward. Kim (who was not only my running buddy, but also did the Primary music with me and was Emily's Preschool teacher), Jodie (the bishop's wife, watched Emily when I had Leslie, and we spent many evenings watching 'The Bachelor') and Eden (our husbands served in Young Men's together and her kids the same ages as mine). There were a couple of other moms who couldn't make it that night, but they will always be special to me.

Greg started working at Nevada State High School in August of 2014. March 31 was his last day of work. He was pretty sad to leave his students with only a few weeks of school left.

At 3 years old, Emily got to go to Preschool at Will Beckley Elementary (thanks to my friend Kim).

She loved it and learned so much!

She made some great friends. Her favorite person (after me of course)...Kioki!

Now Emily asks me all the time, "Can we go visit my Preschool class?"

Our beautiful rose bush in our backyard (in Vegas).

In front of our house the morning we left...Leslie was still asleep.

All packed and ready to go. It was a sad morning realizing that we wouldn't be back for a while.

We got to Boise and people were there to help...including my bother Derek and his wife Clara. Leslie and Thomas are 9 months apart...crazy! They are the same size!

So far Boise has been good to us. This is one of my favorite pictures of my girls. They are good friends.

Our girls wanted to get tied up like Rapunzel...

"Mom! I'm potty training Leslie!"

12 days from my due date and ready to meet this baby girl!

Easter 2016

We decided to dye eggs and have the Easter egg hunt on Saturday this year. I think we all liked it better.

All day long Emily asked, "How much longer until the egg hunt?" Needless to say, she was pretty excited...so were we (mostly so she would stop asking).

Finally the time came right after lunch!

Leslie had a good time too.

 One happy girl!

Our cute girls on Easter Sunday

It was tough to take a good picture because they were laughing so hard...

But I finally got a decent one!

We spent the rest of Easter Sunday with Grandpa and Grandma Burr in St. George, Utah.

My little Easter bunny (sorry so blurry).
