Graduation and Summertime

On Thursday, May 31, Emily graduated from Kindergarten. I can't believe that we have a Kindergarten graduate!

The program was short and sweet with lots of singing and actions. She did great!

Emily with her favorite person, Piper.

I don't know what they will do if they aren't in the same class next year.

Our little Kindergarten graduate, Emily Mazel Burr----May 31, 2018.

Emily with her Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Arterbury. She said, "I wish I had all Emilys in my class."

She had a good year here.

So proud of our Emily!

Now it's summertime! Here is Abby sporting Emily's sunglasses.

On June 2 we took our kids to the Hyatt Hidden Lakes Reserve. It's about 5 minutes from our house. It's more of a nature walk than a hike, but perfect for our kids. Here is Leslie trying out the binoculars.

It was really pretty. Our kids LOVED the birds and flowers.

Another day we spent at DeMeyer Park. Leslie was pretty terrified of the geese and ducks, but Abby LOVED them. We sure love the summer!

Memorial Day Weekend

My sister Bethany's family came to visit us over Memorial Day weekend. We had a lot of fun and started the weekend off right with ice cream and brownies.

 Abby and Bethany

In this picture Greg is probably giving Grace and Charlie life changing advice.

These two had lots of fun. Alice and Emily were inseparable the entire weekend.

On Saturday morning we met up at the park with Joel's family. In this picture: Caroline, Emily, and Alice.

Then we all visited Grandpa and Grandma Emery's graves at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery.

3 siblings: me, Bethany, and Joel by Grandma Emery's grave.

After we all ate some amazing pizza at the Idaho Pizza Company, Bethany and Paul watched the kids while Greg and I went on a date. We walked along the greenbelt, played some frisbee, and got some delicious ice cream. I am a lucky woman.

Bethany and Paul did crafts with the kids while we were gone.

Silly cousins: Alice, Emily, and Charlie.

That night we had combined scripture study with Grace reading for us.

After church on Sunday we ate some barbecued chicken sandwiches...Greg and Paul were fans.

That evening we drove over to the Meridian Temple.

It's so gorgeous!!

On Monday we took the kids on a walk along the greenbelt.

The Boise River is so high!!

Charlie, Grace, Alice, and Emily.

Thanks so much for visiting us!

May Birthdays

I turned 34 on the 15th of May. At about 9am I got a text from one of my friends (Ashley Poulsen) saying that she had made me a cake and wanted to bring it over. I wasn't expecting anything fancy...but she showed up at my door holding this AMAZING cake! The cake tasted even more delicious than it looked!!

Me with my birthday gifts...all wrapped by Greg and ribbon done by Emily.

Greg made me a cookie cake and it turned out great!!

Two little friends: Abby and Leslie.

This is what my kitchen table looks like every day. They sure love to color and draw!

Two days later was Emily's birthday. She turned 6 on the 17th.

She had been looking forward to this day for a long time...

Her birthday cake...it was a combined effort. I'm so grateful Greg used to work in a bakery.

Officially 6!!

These two just laughing away on the couch...

Three sisters

We're so lucky to have them!
