August 2021

At the end of July we took the kids on a bike ride along the Boise River. We took breaks periodically and threw rocks in the river. Even though it was really hot, the kids had a good time.

The kids have loved putting the sprinkler under our trampoline and filling our kitchen bowls with water this summer. It has entertained them for hours.

We listened to a lot of audio books this summer, but one of the favorites was "Anne of Green Gables". The kids even liked the 3 hour movie! Here is Emily's Barbie version of Anne.

We managed to fit in a few crafts this summer, including the rainbow fish. Everyone loved Caleb's fish because it looked just like a real fish!

Our kids grew up a lot this summer. Here is Emily Mazel, she's 9!

The oldest and the youngest.

Here is Leslie, she is 6. A few days before school started Leslie lost her first tooth! Then a couple of days later she lost her second one!

Here are Abby (5) and Caleb (2.5), our two little jokesters.

Is it a little obvious that Caleb only has sisters?

A couple of weeks ago my sister Cassidy's family was in town. Our kids loved playing with their cousin, Rose!

Uncle Greg is the best!

Last weekend Dad and Mom Burr came up for a visit.

These kids love their grandparents!

Last Sunday Greg was called to be a 2nd counselor in our bishopric. I will miss sitting next to him at church.

Emily had fun doing a craft with some of her Flake girl cousins the other day. She was on zoom for like 3 hours finishing it up and laughing with all of them. I'm glad they all have each other!

Monday, August 16 was our first day of school. Our three girls go to Koelsch Elementary.

Emily is in 4th grade, Leslie is in 1st grade, Abby is in Kindergarten, and Caleb is cute! Here's to a good school year!!
