Christmas Letter 2015

Dearest Family and Friends,

As we have reflected on this year, we are humbled by all of the wonderful things we have been blessed with. It has been a great year for our family and we have so much to be thankful for.

GREG- Greg continues to work here in Las Vegas at Nevada State High School as an Educational Advisor. He loves working with the juniors and seniors. He has now worked there over a year and feels very comfortable with his various responsibilities. When Greg isn't working, he's fulfilling his calling in our ward as Elder's Quorum President or doing projects around the house. For our 5 year anniversary Greg bought us tickets to go see the Piano Guys. It was definitely a highlight of our year and we are so grateful for our marriage.

HALEY- At the beginning of this year I gave birth to an adorable baby girl, Leslie Loraine. She has brought lots of joy to our family. It has been fun having two little girls. We are so excited to welcome another baby girl to our family this coming April. This past year I had the opportunity to run a few races with one of my good friends. It seemed to be the perfect way to get in some girl time and loose my baby weight. For my birthday this year Greg surprised me with a plane ticket to Ohio to visit three of my sisters. It was such a fun trip and now he has set the standard high for birthdays to come!

EMILY- Emily enjoys having a little sister. She loves her little Leslie. They have a very sweet relationship. Back in September Emily started going to a Preschool taught by one of our good friends at church. She has learned so much and is really thriving in the class. Emily loves to sing, dance, draw, paint, and anything that has to do with princesses. She is such a joy and we're so glad she's ours.

LESLIE- Leslie will be a year old in January. She has learned so much this year: smiling, laughing, rolling over, sitting up, eating, and most importantly sleeping at normal hours. Most recently she had two teeth break through and can do an army crawl. Her favorite things are her sister Emily, taking baths, and eating.

We are so grateful for each of you this holiday season and for our Savior, Jesus Christ. We love this time of year when we can reflect and focus on the true meaning of Christmas. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas!

With Love,
The Burrs

Sweet November

Emily has been going to Preschool for a few months now and loves it! I don't think I have ever seen a cuter student ID card...or Preschooler.

Leslie can't quite crawl yet but she rolls over and scoots to get around. In this picture she rolled under our bed and is playing peek-a-boo.

She is such a cutie!

Last week my brother Joel and his family stopped by on their way to California. Emily was so excited for cousin Caroline to come.

They were so cute together. They are 8 months apart, have the same color hair (Caroline's is just shorter), they are about the same height, and they were even wearing the same shirt (unplanned). No wonder they were inseparable!

Unfortunately Leslie was pretty grouchy during the entire visit, but Melanie is one patient aunt and insisted on holding her.

Greg loved giving lots of "words of wisdom" to Joel's kids. I mean, he IS a pretty smart guy!

The crew: Wesley, Emery, Savannah, Natalie, Ammon, Melanie, Joel, Haley, Greg...and of course the twins in front and Leslie in Melanie's arms. It was a pretty fun evening.

This isn't a very attractive picture of me, but I finally have something to show for being sick. I'm at that awkward stage where I don't fit into maternity pants, but my regular pants are starting to get tight. I'm 4 months along...almost half way there!

Here are our girls at the park last weekend. It's always so fun when you can finally put your baby in a swing!

This picture was taken in August, but I wanted to add this nice Burr family picture to our blog. Back row: Joel, Aubry, Meric, Jesse, Dad Burr, Mom Burr, Malerie Michael, Erica, Greg, Leslie, Haley. Front Row: Blake, Rachel, Eric, and Emily.

Halloween 2015

The moment we bought Emily's Rapunzel costume, she wanted to wear it. I don't blame her, it IS pretty cute!

A few days before Halloween we made some awesome Halloween sugar cookies. Who knew it could be so much fun!

We were so proud of our cookies that we make a special plate for Emily's teacher and had her take them to school...of course we also saved some for ourselves. :)

On Friday, October 23 Emily had a Halloween party at Preschool. She had literally been talking about it ALL week.

I was so proud of her cute braid.

Emily's Preschool class trick-or-treating around the school.

 Having so much fun!

The next day I ran the Trick-or-Trot 5K race with Emily's Preschool teacher, Kim. We run together every morning. It was so fun and we LOVED the awesome Halloween medals we got!

At the 5K there were tons of carnival games, hayrides, pony rides, and even a petting zoo for little kids. Emily was in heaven.
 She was one happy girl!

Leslie was a little bummed that she didn't get to ride any horses...

The weather around here has been perfect for playing outside. Our girls LOVE it! This picture always puts a smile on my face.

Happy Halloween!

Baby Burr #3

Well, we're having another baby!

Leslie won't be the youngest anymore.

In fact, Leslie will only be 15 months old when our baby is born.

It would be cool to have a boy, but three girls would be pretty fun too!

On Friday I'll be 16 weeks along.

The baby is due April 22, 2016.

Who would have thought we'd have three kids 3 and under (for a month)?!?

It will be a party! We're so excited!

October Highlights

Just taking advantage of the last few days of summer. Summer here lasts until Halloween!

We finally bought Emily a backpack for preschool. Now she's even more excited about going to school!

It takes some serious talent to be comfortable sleeping like that!

We went up to Utah for conference weekend. We met up with Emily, Dillon, Cassidy, Derek, and Clara at Brick Oven for lunch. We had a great time and some amazing pizza!

Typical interaction between these three...

We also hung out in West Jordan with the Burrs. Here is Emily getting cozy with her Aunt Erica!

On Friday we went to a Fall Carnival/Pumpkin Patch by Greg's work. It was overcast and perfect weather.

Emily had a "hay" day going on all of the rides.

Of course the slides were her favorite.

Happy Fall!

Greg and our daughters

 Leslie LOVED it!
