Easter Weekend

We had such a fun Easter weekend as a family. On Friday Emily didn't have school and Greg didn't work. We had planned to go see Mesa Falls, but the road was closed to get there,  so we went to Warm River instead.

It was the first day that felt like spring to us. We had lunch outside and enjoyed being in nature.

We could have stayed at that river all day, but we decided we really wanted to see a waterfall. So, we drove to this place called Swan Valley and visited Falls Creek Falls. It is honestly one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen.

You can get right next to the waterfall.

I'm pretty sure I gasped when I first saw it because it was so massive...pictures don't do it justice.

The kids loved it.

I think we found our new happy place.

On Saturday we drove over to Driggs for the annual Easter Egg Hunt. We gave the kids a pep talk on the way over about not getting too many eggs and making sure that there were plenty for everyone...but all of the kids there got tons of eggs. It was a fun morning.

After lunch we had our own Easter Egg Hunt at home. We had way too much candy.

So happy together!

The Month of Parties

April is a busy month around here. Greg and I started the month off celebrating our 9th Anniversary. This year the kids came with us on our date.

We drove into Jackson and went on a sleigh ride in the National Elk Refuge. There was still snow, but the sun was shining and it wasn't freezing!

We picked a beautiful day to go!!

Everyone was good and had a great time!

Me with little Caleb...the snow was blinding!

Just hanging out with the elk, like usual...

On our way home Greg drove us around to see some swans. They were a beautiful sight!

Although the snow hasn't melted ALL of the way here, we still manage to have fun at the park!

The girls got these awesome coloring packets from our Primary for General Conference. They were very excited to finally use them!

On April 15 Greg turned 35!! It was such a great day!

Abby had a doctor's appointment a couple of days before her birthday. When he were on our way out, the doctor gave us coupons for free ice cream. The kids were so excited...now they want to go to the doctor's office all the time!!

On April 19 Abby turned 3 years old!

She loved her gifts!

Funfetti cake with rainbow chip frosting...as requested.

Blowing out the candles is always a team effort around here.

 Friends?? Caleb looks worried.

Happy April!

Spring Break

After a very long winter here in Victor, we decided to take a trip to Utah for Spring Break. The kids were really excited, hence this awesome picture that Emily drew.

We started our trip in West Jordan, Utah to visit the Burrs.

Here are some of the Burr grandkids with Mom Burr.

I guess the game was too interesting because I couldn't get them to look at me for the picture...

We were lucky enough to be there for Joel's baptism day. All day long our kids kept saying, "Mom, I want dad to baptize me." Pretty cute. In photo: Joel, Emily, Meric, and Leslie.

Some of the Burr girls: Aubry, Malerie, Rachel, and Haley.

Our next stop was at the McDonald's in Farmington where we met up with our Boise neighbors, the Roses. Here I am with my good friend, Megan.

Then we headed down south to Payson, Utah to see my brother Dillon. Caleb and Theo (their son) were instant buddies.

The girls loved playing with their cousin, Ruby too!

The next day we met up at the University Mall play place in Orem. We hung out with my old college roommate, Allison and her kids.

Everyone had a great time!!

Then we drove 5 minutes over to my sister Cassidy's place for lunch.

 All smiles!

 My girls

After lunch we drove 5 more minutes to see my old co-worker, Marissa. She runs a Preschool out of her home, so the kids had a blast playing while we visited!

Our last stop was in Bountiful to see my sister Bethany and her family.

Just hanging out with the babies.

Grace reading the kids bedtime stories.

The kids put on a play for us. It was cute!

Abby fell asleep on Bethany's lap (she was falling asleep everywhere!)

Thanks for the fun Spring Break! In photo: Leslie, Grace, Abby, Charlie, Danny, Alice, and Emily.
